Privacy policy

Chalet Control is a private owner and family management application. This policy describes its Google integration, Chalet Control Publisher, and this public information website.

Google data we access

• The authorised publisher’s Google account email address, to confirm that the intended account is publishing the workbooks.
• Application-created Google Drive files under the limited https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file permission.
• Workbook content, file identifiers, publication properties, ownership and permission metadata, tab structure and protections needed to publish and verify generated management Sheets.

Why we access it

We use this data to create and populate versioned management and audit workbooks, verify complete publication, rediscover and recover application-created publications, and detect unexpected changes to their content, structure, ownership or access.

We do not request blanket access to unrelated Google Drive files, sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it for unrelated purposes. Changes made in Google Sheets are not written back into Chalet Control’s transactional database.

Storage, protection and retention

OAuth refresh credentials are held server-side and encrypted at rest. Short-lived access tokens are used by the publisher and are not exposed to application browser clients. We retain publication identifiers, verification results and publication history for audit and recovery.

Generated workbooks remain in the authorised publisher’s Google Drive until removed by an authorised owner. Publication records are retained while needed for management, audit and recovery. Revoking Google access stops further authorised API access; it does not automatically delete existing workbooks or retained audit records. Contact us about removal or retention requests.

Who can access generated workbooks

Current publisher verification uses private workbooks accessible only to the designated Google owner. Wider family-reader sharing has not been operationally configured. Any future sharing will require an explicit access decision and an update to this description. Google processes the files and account authorisation as the service provider.

Revoking authorisation

The publisher can review and remove Chalet Control Publisher’s connection from Google Account connections. Revocation prevents future access through that grant; the publisher will stop if it cannot authenticate.

This website

These pages contain no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, forms or login. We do not set application cookies here. The hosting provider may process connection information such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the website.
